Cabins are cool. Campsites are nice. Some shaded some not. Most sites are in pairs, rent both for more privacy. Some campers walk through others campsites. Restrooms and showers are mostly clean, some spiders and bugs but nothing too crazy. Showers take tokens, change machine located outside by showers. $1 and $5 only.

Finally made it out to Lake Cuyamaca for a visit and spent the day fishing. The $10 fishing permit included parking, and I picked up some worms for $5, making for an affordable day on the water. It was a bit windy during my visit in June 2026, but that didn't stop us from catching two small trout.
The weather was absolutely beautiful—72 degrees and sunny, perfect for spending the day outdoors. The lake is peaceful, the scenery is gorgeous, and it's a great place to relax whether you're fishing or just enjoying nature. I look forward to coming back for another day on the water! 🎣☀️🏞️

Great place to pull over, stretch your legs, and take a few pictures. The landscape is beautiful and very peaceful. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area! 🐺🛵

We stayed at the chamber’s campsite on the northwestern side of the lake. It was pleasant with lots of trees for shade, tables and parking. There were excellent trails to walk and you could cross over to the island and hike around it. It was quiet at night and cooler this Sunday because there was a heatwave that was coming to an end. The park staff were friendly and did their job well in keeping an eye on everything; we felt safe at night. I recommend a stay here in a tent, trailer, RV or Cabin.
