What Guests Are Saying

Cher'ere Campground and RV Park is a clean, quiet facility with well-sized campsites and a nice shower with good pressure. The cabins are new and comfortable, making for a great stay, though the double bed could be improved. While there are some minor downsides, such as limited amenities and occasional bear sightings, the location is ideal for exploring the nearby Redwood parks.

This is a lovely compound, quiet and clean. Shower (only one stall) is nice with good pressure and hot water. Campsites are decently sized. Only thing I’ll say is be warned of bears! We watched one wander around the whole campground perimeter, rifling through people’s stuff and standing on the side of a camper. We were tent camping and it even trampled our tent lol.

We stayed in the cabin at Cher'ere Campground & RV Park for two nights and had a great experience overall. The cabin was new, clean, and thoughtfully designed, with its own bathroom and kitchen, which made our stay very comfortable and convenient. It was a perfect base for exploring the surrounding area.

The only downside for me was the double bed, which could have been of better quality—it wasn’t the most comfortable for sleeping. That said, everything else about the cabin and the campground made up for it, and we would definitely be back here again.

Pros: good location, we had a pretty quiet stay (the first night it was only half filled), bathrooms had flush toilets, shower, paper towels, pretty clean
Cons: no host present (I tried calling to see if I could change my site and got no answer, no privacy! It's basically a lawn of tents and RVs. Only one shower. Soap and paper towel ran out.

An excellent campground with full hookups, roomy sites, and a friendly camp host. Other than a proper bath house there aren't really any amenities. But that's okay for the price. If you're looking for a home base to explore the Redwood State and National Parks, this fits the bill perfectly as it's smack in the middle of it all!

The Cher’ere Campground has been revitalized after its new manager Eric has taken over. The lawn is well maintained and there is space for tons of campers and their family. The new cabin has been renovated nicely and is comparable with many of the nice hotels you could find along the coast with the addition of a great kitchen and washer and dryer! In addition there are septic, water, 30amp and 50amp hookups for all of the RV sites. The tent sites are more primitive only offering picnic tables and fire pits.
