Heart of the Redwoods Cottages & RV

The camp site was not maintained and was very unsightly, grass needed cut too, not at all what we expected. The camp site area is too close to the main highway and there is absolutely nothing to keep your belongings safe from the traffic area. Was unable to sleep, due to the heavy traffic noise and lack of security. We were booked for three nights but left the first morning. Believe that there’s misrepresentation of the sites. There’s so many other sites around the area that are less expensive, we made a much better choice by moving.

We stayed in our RV here for 7 nights. Not a single complaint. The place was quiet at night considering it is right on the highway. There's a host in sure if you need assistance but they do not bother you otherwise. Beautiful place to stay and great amenities everything was perfect for calling this home base while we explored The Redwoods and the ocean and beaches nearby.

The place was absolutely lovely. Everything was very clean, and the kitchen was extremely well-equipped. The host was kind, sweet, and very welcoming, and we felt really well taken care of.

The location is surrounded by beautiful nature and has a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Even though it’s near the highway, you can barely hear it at all, so it didn’t affect the experience.

We also made a fire, and the host kindly provided us with wood, which made the evening feel warm, cozy, and special. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would happily come back. Highly recommended!

RV site was nice and level, creek and views of the trees. Easy access to 101 and the nearby Redwoods parks. The owners were responsive and accommodating to my strange situation. Even though it is right on 101. The traffic noise was minimal at night. And the wifi was great.

Everything about our stay was awesome. We originally booked thinking we would have to swap sites in our 11 night stay but with a cancellation the owner was able to keep us in the same site # throughout. It was a great spot for our use case. We wanted to be in the redwoods, close to lots of hikes, see wildlife and slow down our travels. This place was exactly that. We appreciated the support from the camp host and the owner. We even were able to have some elk wander through the campsites on our last morning. Would definitely recommend!

Our 40 foot 5th wheel had plenty of room to have the truck in front of the sites. Fairly level and easy hookups. The sewer connection is at the rear of the site rather than the middle so we had to use all our hoses but still not a big deal.
