What Guests Are Saying

Lakeshore East offers a clean and well-maintained campground with beautiful views of the lake, making it a great base for outdoor activities. Many visitors enjoyed the shaded areas and proximity to the water, with some planning to return annually. However, some campers noted issues with noise from nearby resorts, crowded sites, and challenges with the reservation system, which could lead to confusion and frustration.

The camp was kept in good shape. The sites were clean and bathroom also. Steep and rocky so getting down to the water was not really possible. But it does mention that on the website.

It says online that all good is required to be in bear boxes. Across the street there are bear boxes for food but not at this site.
When I asked the camp host about paying for my car, I was told it wasn't needed. The rv counted as equipment and the car was a vehicle... however over the weekend was given a ticket for the car. The cost for an additional vehicle is 12/night and you can only pay cash or check. The water is not easily accessible. We left on day 2 of our 4 day reservation and unable to cancel the remaining dates.

Great location but be prepared for heat. This site had good access to the lake. Bring something to float on to keep cool in summer. Also, frozen water bottles in wash cloth to cool down your neck at night.

The sites are too close together, a train comes through several times during the night, poison oak is everywhere, and there is absolutely no lake access from the campsite.

I stayed at site 15 which was very nice. Access to the water was down a very rocky embankment. There was some poison oak at the site. The campground is very nice overall

Campground is narrow and sites are open and not private. Grounds and main bathroom are well maintained. The private campground across the street failed to enforce noise restrictions at night so loud party was heard until 2 am.

Very pleasant, shaded campground. Only problem: a little close to the road, but not too noisy
