What Guests Are Saying

Lower Billy Creek offers a serene camping experience with clean facilities, beautiful lake views, and helpful camp hosts. The campground is well-maintained, with easy access to fishing, canoeing, and hiking activities, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts. However, some sites lack shade due to tree removal, so bringing canopies is recommended for hot days.

Steve, the camp host was a wonderful host! The double campsite was perfect with an excellent view of the lake. I wish we would have been able to stay more nights. If you are wanting to get a boat make sure you reserve early. We didn’t plan that out and there were none available.

Nellie Lake trail is just up the way from this campsite and I didn’t walk the entire trail it was quiet and I enjoyed spotting a deer.

We stayed at site 7. Great double site. It’s next to day use area so you do get quite a lot of folks next to your site but they leave and then your site is secluded from the rest of the campground. Bring a shade tent for the afternoon sun. Not much protection. Nice view of the lake and 30ft walking distance to the lake. The bathrooms aren’t too far away.

Awesome double site. Stayed at site 9. It was just 4 of us. We had 2 medium 6 person tents. Not sure where else you can fit more tents but there’s some room. It’s right next to the bathroom but nobody has to walk in your site to get to the bathroom. You have an amazing view of the lake. 2 fire pits and 2 tables for the group site. You can hang up a hammock. It’s about 50ft from the lake. You can easily gather your things and go set up next to the lake. Kinda close to other campers but was not uncomfortable close. You’ll really enjoy this site.

I absolutely loved the beauty of this campground, right next to the lake. Our camp host Steve was especially helpful and very nice. There was close proximity to restrooms which were very clean. Multiple hikes are available in the area. It’s walking distance to a small marina with a restaraunt, and boat rentals.
