What Guests Are Saying
Lower Billy Creek offers a serene camping experience with clean facilities, beautiful lake views, and helpful camp hosts. The campground is well-maintained, with easy access to fishing, canoeing, and hiking activities, making it ideal for families and outdoor enthusiasts. However, some sites lack shade due to tree removal, so bringing canopies is recommended for hot days.

We have stayed at Lower Billy Creek now for the past few summers after a lifetime of staying at Upper Billy Creek prior to its closure for renovations. Nothing beats the relaxed atmosphere of a smaller campground right on the shore on the quiet end of the lake (west end). The camp hosts have always been great, bathrooms are extremely well kept and the neighbors have been mostly great (after a reminder of the noise curfew, we have young kids). The small Marina/ Restaurant is a short walk along the lake and/or road and if launching from the campsite a picnic on the island is only a few minutes away in canoe/kayak. Lots of good day trip activities within the area as well if you are into fishing or hiking or just want to take a dip in the lake! We stay with family and recommend the double sites at Lower Billy Creek 007 and 009 but bring some canopies for shade as there are not as many trees to provide coverage on a hot summers day as there used to be! We'll be back next year!

Beautiful view! Campsite was clean, but a little too close to neighboring site.

My son, daughter and their families stayed in Lower Billy while my wife and I stayed in Upper Billy...away from the chaos. They enjoyed their stay and found the site perfect for their large group. It had a large area that would accommodate several tents. The only downside was that the footpath that travels along side the lake, follows a route directly next to the main camp area. Oh well...it's camping. My daughter said she'd stay there again if it became available next year.

Always have a great time at Huntington Lake. This is my first camping experience at Billy Creek, I have usually camped on the other end of the lake. Wow, I was impressed, our site was within great view of the lake and a short walk to the shore. It was very quiet, felt like we were at a private part of the lake. I will return

The campsite was clean. Restrooms well taken care of. There are a lot of people right there in those eight or so campgrounds BUT you’re right next to the water. A lot of other campers were fishing steps away from their campsite. A few launched their kayaks feet from their tents. So if that’s your thing, this is a really cool campground. Don’t forget to check in though right across the street from the market before heading to the campground.

Campsite was close to lake, but very sunny. I wish I brought a shade canopy. Recreation.gov said the site permitted 4 vehicles, however, when checking in I only got two parking passes. There is an extra $10 per day charge if you want to park more than two vehicles at the site. You can park nearby on the road for free. Bathrooms were nearby and well maintained.

The camphost was very friendly and accomodating. We were camped in site #5 next to the lake. Restrooms were cleaned daily and it was a beautiful site with an excellent bbq pit. However, we noticed that the fire pit in #10 could use some repair. Unfortunately our host was transferred to another campground several days after our arrival in May ;-(

Family camping trip during early May. Be ready for freezing night temperatures, you will want the fire on during the entire day and night. Good service for Verizon customers. There’s a local saloon/restaurant with limited vegetarian options. There’s an adjacent market open now. Overall beautiful views and not crowded at all during this time.
