What a beautiful location with the open skies, beautiful mountains, and a roaring waterfall on a mountain. The hosts were easy-going, friendly and helpful, but not intrusive which was much appreciated. The soft tall grasses and the little river in the shade of bushes were charming. The fresh winds and mountain air made the experience even better. Loved watching the stars and listening to the rustling of the grasses. We had to make sure to tie the tent down well in case of a passing storm. We loved the hot water in the bathrooms and the availability of cheap hot showers for quarters. Very clean facilities.

The web site had inaccurate camp spots depicted. We did not get the spot we selected but instead a misrepresentatied site.

Incredible location and views. Lots of RV’s so be prepared for generator noise and ambient lighting at night.

I have been staying at Silver Lake Campground about 9 years now. The camp hosts are the best! Friendly and helpful all of the time. They keep the bathrooms and showers clean all the time. There is a cafe and store across the street for anything you might forget. If you have time to eat breakfast or lunch while staying in Silver Lake area, you have to eat at the resort. Fishing is always good in the morning or evening at the lake. The campsites are well spaced and easy to get into. For bigger rigs 32' or more, stay in campsites 31 or higher. The first 28 can be tight getting into. Look at the site map on internet and check them out. This campground reserves out 6 months in advance because it is really nice.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My daughter and I spent two nights at Silver Lake Campground in the June Lake loop, and it was absolutely incredible. The setting is simply breathtaking—the surrounding mountains, waterfalls, and magnificent Silver Lake make this such a special place to camp. We honestly didn’t want to leave!

A few of the campsites are a little tight and don’t offer a ton of privacy, but for us, the incredible scenery and peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it. Everyone seemed to respect the quiet hours, and the evenings were wonderfully peaceful.

The bathrooms and facilities were kept very clean, and there are flush toilets, which is always a camping bonus! One thing to know before you go: bring quarters for the showers. The showers are located at the far end of the campground, and you’ll want at least $2 in quarters for a decent shower. It would be wonderful if they eventually added another shower area because there aren’t many for the size of the campground.

Also, be prepared for wind, especially in the evenings. Silver Lake can get very windy, so make sure everything is well secured when setting up camp.

And don’t miss the Silver Lake Resort Café right nearby! It’s open for breakfast and lunch, the food is fantastic, and everyone at the resort was incredibly welcoming. It was such a fun little treat during our camping trip.

Overall, Silver Lake is absolutely beautiful, peaceful, and a place we would definitely return to. If you love mountain views, waterfalls, a gorgeous lake, and waking up surrounded by nature, it’s hard to beat. ❤️🏕️🏔️

Scenic makes a great base camp for fishing.

Silver Lake Campground is a beautiful campground tucked nicely between the Eastern Sierras and around the bend from June and Gull Lakes. Rush Creek is adjacent to some of the campground sites as is the lake. We were only here for two days, but we definitely will return. We found the Rush Creek Trailhead nearby and hiked up to Lake Agnew and we experienced some stunning views. We did happen to catch a summer rain/thunder storm which cooled down the temperature and allowed us to see a sparkling new day with steam arising from the nearby lake. We stayed in site 25 which felt secluded and private and was just a few steps away from lake access. It was a clean campground, however there is no dump station at the campground, however the nearby Oh Ridge campground has a dump for a fee.
