Very nice campground and very quiet. We had some other people camping nearby as well and it was very family friendly. Will definitely book again!

This is a beautiful campground, one of the cleanest and nicest we've been in. It was such a delightful surprise after staying at other less updated NFS sites, and just a short drive to N Lake Tahoe. We will definitely be back!

Such a cute little campground at the top of the Mt. Rose Summit! Maybe 25 or so spots, water, and pit toilets. The camp hosts could not be nicer, and I don't think I've ever seen a cleaner toilet! The whole campground is spotless, the hosts really work hard to make sure of that. Nice, level tent pads, and there's cement under the eating area. Probably one of the nicest campgrounds I've ever stayed in. Hard to get reservations, but there's a few first-come/first served sites.

The camp hosts keep this campground clean, orderly and everything works. Thanks! They also are attuned to the campers who escape to the great outdoors and then turn their music up high enough to be heard 4 sites away. Thanks again!

I was impressed with how nicely spaced the campsites are. My parking space was really level. The area for the picnic table, fire pit, etc. was exceptionally well done and clean.

We live in the Tahoe Basin so it was a great place for a quick and easy family camping trip. Updated, well and clean campground, with easy access to the Tahoe meadow trails. We took our 4 year grandchild on her first overnight camping trip; making a lifetime of positive memories (summer mountain storm, small wild creatures, campfire and s'more, and a meadow hike) in one of our great outdoor areas. Great job USFS!

The sites were cleaned each morning before new campers arrived. Each site was spotless, and in addition has concrete driveways and pads where the BBQ/table are. The bathrooms were always stocked and clean (despite them being vault toilets). The area is fantastic if you want to explore Lake Tahoe or the surrounding area. Mountain biking and hiking are popular in the area, and the Tahoe Rim Trail works it way next to the campground and across the street. There is a 1.7 mile easy trail loop (with a bridge) that people can walk to from the campground as well. Loved this place and the hosts!
