Gorgeous campground, plenty of space between spaces. Only downside is no dump station on the mountain.

From start to finish, our 2-night stay in Mount Rose left us wishing we had stayed the whole week. It’s proximity to Lake Tahoe was excellent, it was quiet and held a pleasant crowd who kept to themselves. The grounds were scenic, clean and allowed for some privacy in an open-air setting. The bear boxes were a great touch and the bathrooms were clean and well-kept. The only inconvenience was the lack of showers but it didn’t bother us all that much!

Camp host was on it! Love a clean, respected campground. This is a fun spot to stay, with a short hike to the top of the nearby ski resort and other easy trails straight out from your picnic table. Make sure to bring a sun shade or tarp, because there isn’t much sun cover. Can’t knock any stars for that when it’s just so lovely in every other way.
