Fowler's Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, spacious sites, and excellent access to stunning waterfalls and swimming holes along the McCloud River. Camp hosts are noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing to a clean and well-maintained environment. While some guests experienced noise disturbances from other campers, overall, the campground is seen as a fantastic destination for families and nature lovers, despite a few complaints about restroom maintenance and the absence of a camp host during certain visits.

The sites are very large and well spaced, with both shade and sun. Vault toilet was clean. Bear box available if tent camping. Perfect setting along the river and the McCloud Falls waterfall trail. Great location in the midst of the beautiful Mt. Shasta area! There are so many things to do! You can hike or drive to the three falls. We also enjoyed Lake Siskyou, and Burney Falls/Lake Britton. In the summer, you can also access Lassen National Park and the Medicine Lake area. The area is just far enough off the beaten path to escape the crowds while still close to I-5. In the nearby town of McCloud, there are grocery options, Siskyou Brew Works, ice cream, and an RV dump site for a fee at the McCloud RV Park.

One thing we tried didn’t work out - the new rail trail for bikes has deep gravel that made it too difficult to ride. Very large tire bikes might work.

Excellent, clean campground. FYI they don't sell firewood in the park; must pick up in the town.

A nice but heavily used campground during summer holidays. It is a much more pleasant experience, at the campground and on the trails during off season.

Gorgeous campground. However, Site chosen noted as 30" limit on tt. Our 30" tt could no way fit to include jaming in the truck on the pad. After trying several configurations, we looked for camp host. Off duty. We left and stayed elsewhere. The next day, toured the whole campground looking for site I reserved for two weeks later. Couldn't find it after two passes. No camp host on duty. All that to say, campground is beautiful, however not made for tt over about 20 ft. This absolutely should be noted in the description.
