Camp hosts are noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing to a clean and well-maintained environment. Great! Enough cell phone reception with Verizon and AT&T, lots of trees for shade, close to the falls, bathrooms are kept pretty clean, water available, and food lockers. Camp hosts were great. Would come back

We love camping at fowlers campground! This is the only place my husband wants to go. He loves fishing at lower Mcloud falls . Waterfalls are a short hike from the campground and it’s so beautiful. There are places where the kids can play in the water and they love it. The deer are very friendly and my granddaughter was able to touch one briefly. The only thing that made me a little nervous was hearing the bears at night. They do have bear lockers and I’m so glad they did. Camp host was very friendly too. Can’t wait until next year.

Campground is laid out nicely with paved and level parking at each site. Most sites are handicapped accessible. Picnic tables are concrete and not movable. The campground is near the McCloud river and a popular and busy hiking trail goes through the campground. There is water available in numerous spots. The pit toilets were filled beyond capacity and the odor from the venting chimneys was awful and the septic smell drifted across the campground during the heat of the day.

This spot is your usual go-to family friendly campsite, but the river, falls and trails are truly wonderful! Be sure to keep a clean site, active black bear (and chipmunks, lol) in the area. Sweet host!
