What Guests Are Saying
Fowler's Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, spacious sites, and excellent access to stunning waterfalls and swimming holes along the McCloud River. Camp hosts are noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, contributing to a clean and well-maintained environment. While some guests experienced noise disturbances from other campers, overall, the campground is seen as a fantastic destination for families and nature lovers, despite a few complaints about restroom maintenance and the absence of a camp host during certain visits.

For some reason there is no longer a host at Fowlers. This is a bad idea.
-When we arrived, someone was in our spot and we had to ask them to leave.
-The next day, a family arrived for their reserved site right next to us - and had to ask those people to leave.
-In the evenings when we walked around the campgrounds, we were annoyed to learn on the other loop that many families had to depart early due to the rude people in site 27 blasting their music like a bunch lunatics. While we were far away and this didn't effect us, they ruined Memorial Day for a lot of people.
- I don't think we'll return unless as host is put back in place. Too many rude people in the world to leave it as a free for all.
Sadly, hosts are needed.

Very clean dry camping campground. All the sites are paved and located in ways that you don't feel penned in next to a neighbor. McCloud River is right there, so a short walk to enjoy that. Well worth the hikes to the Lower, Middle and Upper Falls - they're amazing. We stayed in site 10A with a 22' travel trailer.

We love this campground. Been camping there for years. Only negative this last trip was that there was no camp host! It didn't really affect us, but other campers were asking us how to ck in, as we were camped right near the host site.

The campground host is the Wicked Witch of the West. She gave us a noise violation in broad daylight. She acts like she is the police of campground fun. There is a noise ordinance in Shasta County, and we were not violating it, since it was literally broad daylight. I told her to go get the Sheriff, and she didn't. She's all smoke & mirrors. Never going back to Fowlers to deal with the fun police ever again, - they can have that place. Pretty water falls though!
