Very chill spot, it was hot, but still very worth it. There were water faucets every 2-3 spaces which helped. Bathrooms were clean. Night time looks super dope. If your alone and don't like that, it could be very boring. But that's the point is to be at peace. The fire pit was clutch and so was the grill. Definitely will be back.

We stayed at campsite 13 and it was a beautiful spot. There is a large oak tree that provides shade, and site is butted up against a meadow on the backside. We heard coyotes (no threat), cows, saw bats, and found scorpions with a black light at night. None of these creatures intruded in on us except for the flies. Highly recommend bringing some sort of fly fans if you're serving food. Water was reliable, and toilet paper was restocked regularly. This was a nice little spot and just a drive away from lots of hiking trails in the Palomar mountains.

Dusk to dawn. Lots of big ants.

It was just what we needed it was a wonderful camping experience. My husband and kids loved it. It was close enough for us to go to the beach during the day. We came from Arizona so for us to experience camping plus the beach was awesome. We all loved it had wonderful neighbors close to the clean bathrooms, close to store if you may have forgotten anything. Had a fire pit to sit around the fire making smores talking listening to music playing games with my kiddos. There was a built in grill to cook on a table it was awesome.

Rick, the camp host is so nice and welcoming. He keeps the campground peaceful, clean and safe. The campsite offers a great deal of privacy. Excellent little getaway.

Camp site #63 has a lot of space but some areas need to be cleaned up as there are cactus and bushes with thorns.
Great for families, we had a group of 3 families and kids had enough space to play. Neighbors were families with kids too so we enjoyed our nights with no noisy party guests.

BEWARE - this campground is not managed! Do not pay for reservations because your site will not be reserved. I’m an avid camper and this was the worst experience I’ve ever had - which is sad considering the campground is lovely. We drove 7 hours for a 3-day site we paid for well over a month + ago; we arrived to not only find our site taken, but the reservation card on the post was blank. All of them were except for ones that had a date that was 2 weeks old. We watched as other campers arrived to find the same issue - reserved spots taken because the reservation cards were not updated. There is no host and no cell service so you are without immediate recourse. This is basically a dispersed camping spot they are profiting on and they shouldn’t be!

From Interstate 15 take the 79 East. The campground is on the north side of the highway, across from the fire station. From Temecula, take State Rt. 79 south 24.1 miles and turn left at campground sign.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
