Great sites all around, different styles and space sizes to choose from, nice staff who are helpful too!
This campground is well maintained and offers a great experience for families, couples and those traveling alone.
We've been several times and will continue to visit in the future.

We've been coming to Wheeler Gorge since our now 19 and 16 year old's were toddlers(before 16 was born even!). We've seen it through many many ups and downs, many (and varied in friendliness)camp hosts and all states of upkeep. Through it all, we've always loved Wheeler Gorge. This trip was just my husband and I and the first back since the bridge changes. We were impressed with all the upkeep and improvements (yay re-painted bathrooms and parking spot repairs!). Very nice camp hosts as well. LOVE that the creek has been widened and what this means for the ecosystem of the surrounding area. We were in site 41 this trip and the sound of the full and flowing creek to lull us to sleep was just what we needed!

Fantastic place by the creek away from civilization. Great hikes in the area like Rose falls. No cell phone reception (a good thing in my case). And bring your own water.

Site #45, long driveway but sloped down. We parked a 15' trailer and 2 trucks. Campsite had room for 2 tents.

The camp hosts are great. Camp site 50 is not a good campsite. On the map it shows there is a creek through it, but there wasn't. Even worse is the land is not flat there so our tents were slanted. Wheeler Gorge looks slightly primitive online, however it is not. The spaces are too close together. I would recommend this to people who like Urban camping or glamping.

We camped on a Sunday night - very few people in the campground. It's a quiet, beautiful setting with oak trees and a gentle creek running through. The sites are nice with ample room between neighbors. The sites and restrooms were clean. There was ample poison oak along the creek, trails and uncleared areas. Would recommend to bring bug repellent for the gnats. Overall, a nice place to camp.
