Wheeler gorge itself is a great camping location. Here is the thing though, I dont know in what world and how did the designers of this campground decide to put campsite 57 and public bathrooms in the same exact spot. None of the pictures show the bathrooms, and the sattelite map shows the site a lot further from the bathrooms than it actually is. Theres not even enough room to put up a tent in this campsite. Essentially if you stand up in this campsite, people are actually going to think you're in line for the bathrooms. The site shouldn't even exist. The host was very understanding of the situation and accommodated us with two other campsites where we had to move our camp in order not to overlap with other peoples' reservations.

Wheeler Gorge was a lot of fun and very beautiful. I don’t know if it is intentional but campsite 18 just has an insane amount of boulders and rocks. Lots of tripping for little ones and some of the adults. Also maybe I overlooked this detail somewhere but I got tons of horsefly bites. Bring your bug spray!!!!!

We stayed in campsite #42 and loved it. We have a large tent and there was plenty of flat ground to pitch it on. The creek was right across the road and easy to access. The hosts were great and checking in with all the campers regularly. There was some poison oak, but easily avoidable. Wheeler Gorge is one of our favorite places to camp because of the creek and how lovely the sites are.

Loved our stay! Site 70 has a ton of canopy trees for shade, its a little smaller, two tents maybe 3 if you're squeezing will fit. Site 69 is actually next to site 68. The map was a little decisiving :) exploring the creek was so much fun we can't wait to come back!

Fantastic campground, great location along a beautiful creek. The campsites are clean and well maintained. The pit toilets aren't bad as far as pit toilets go. The hosts are super friendly and helpful. My only complaint is the firewood is overpriced. Overall though, this is one of our favorite spots!

Had an amazing time with the family and this is one of a kind campsite that is very very quiet and you can actually enjoy the sound of nature. Thank you wheel of a George for a wonderful time.

Lovely location with lots of tree cover. No phone reception, which is what I needed. Will be going again.
