Point Reyes National Seashore Campground

Backpacking in fall was a brilliant idea- gorgeous fall colors, way less overgrown trails and allergy-inducing plants, and generally fewer people. While camping in the rain got a bit tricky, it was overall a great experience. Mushrooms, banana slugs, and stinging nettle everywhere! There were a herd of elk near Wildcat Camp, and deer grazing right through Glen.

Clean campsite, clean bathrooms, trash cans available. Beautiful site

Wildcat Campground was a bucket list dream come true. Potable water, clean bathrooms, and a campground with breathtaking views made for an unforgettable backpacking trip with my friends. We were able to easily walk to Alamere Falls during low tide.

Sky campground is a short moderate hike (especially with heavy equipment and wining kids...) but absolutely worthy of the effort: it's quiet, gorgeous, and provides an amazing open view on the surroundings. We used our car to get to the beach and encounters seals, dolphins, pelicans and even a whale!

This campsite was amazing. The ocean view is lovely and restorative, the giant magic eucalyptus is all that and more, and the amenities and other sites were perfect for our family backpacking trip.

Of note: campsite 7 is lovely and secluded, but there isn't an ocean view until coming down the path a bit. All the sites 1-7 are quite private, and campsites 2 and 3 have the sunset view directly from their picnic tables.

The camp site at Glen Campground are small and can hold only 3 one person tents. Only 1, 2, 4 and 10 are larger and can hold 4 or 5 one person tents. Camp site 1 is the only site that has a tree pair suitable for hammock hanging-only for 1 hammock. All of the small sites have bramble paths to them. The bathroom odor affects sites the large sites. All sites have a flat spot for the tents, picnic table, and large food locker. Site 10 has no shade and no privacy as it is in the center of the Campground. The trail to the Campground from Five Brooks parking lot is well marked . The trail to Wildcat Campground and the coast is well marked.

We were at Glen campground #12. Excellent campsite for 1 tent for 2 people. The common water supply and toilets were great. Picnic table and food locker for campsite were excellent.

Hike in is short and nice. Sites are well-spaced. Site 9 had great views.

This campground is in the trees and doesn't get a lot of sun so everything stays wet. Stinging nettle is everywhere so wear long pants. Site 3 was right down in the middle of everything. No privacy and you hear a lot of noise from the group campgrounds. Easily accessible by several trails. Beautiful area.

Nice campsite with strong picnic table and bear box. Just one level spot for a tent.
Far enough from other sites. Trails well signed. Poison oak just past the first bridge from Palomarin Trailhead grown over both sides of trail so nearly impossible to pass without brushing up against it.
