Great campsites. The water at wildcat camp tasted terrible. Heavily treated. Maybe that is necessary but it definitely did not taste good.

Due to confusion about permits, Tomales Beach boat-in was pretty crowded. Maybe 40 people camping. Still beautiful.

The trail to Glenn Campground is beautiful, just under five miles each way. I rate it ``moderate/easy difficulty'' with our packs, just for one night. The campground had only one other person when we were there. It is plenty big to accommodate many people. The bathrooms were clean. Nice to have bear boxes. A wonderful spot.

There were three of us in two tents and we spent the first night at Sky #3 and the second at Glenn #5. Next time I go to Sky, I will try a different spot, one further away from the group site (#2) and see if it has more space for 8. If we had another tent at that site, it would have been on more of a slope. Glenn #5 was much more level and a beautiful site. Animal canisters are newish at both sites and in great shape.
Make sure to check in and get a parking pass for your car. I don’t believe this is mentioned in the reservations.

Site #5 provided a nice, level and private spot for the tent. However, the latch on the fairly-new bear box was somewhat challenging.

The site is amazing and beautiful. The stars were so bright and we could see the Milky Way once it got fully dark. The ocean waves were calming and we saw a deer in the morning!
So why not 5 stars? Noisy neighbors who didn’t understand what quiet hours are. The site is wonderful, but keep in mind other people will be there too.

Coast Camp is a great location to base your trip out of. You can hike to Sculptured Beach, climb the hills and enjoy the expansive beach nearby.

Great campground, we got lucky with weather in late November - pretty breezy and chilly but nothing layering up can't help with. Small trash cans (not dumpsters) onsite, typical vault toilets, bear vault was very secure (no worries about small rodents, probably didn't need a bear can to put in the vault). Stone/cement tables and benches, no campfires allowed. We spotted at least 1 skunk in the night so make sure to keep your eyes open.
The campground loop is right around a small hill from a beach with lots of soft sand, so bring a towel or a chair and definitely try to catch the sunset if you can.
Highly recommend hiking in from Bear Valley visitors' center if you're able to - you can hike in and out on different routes for variety, it's about 6 mi and 1,300 ft of ascent (and then descent) each way.

Good experience staying at Sky campground. It is a beautiful view of the ocean. Campground is spread out so you only occasionally see your neighbor. Toilets/potable water/trash can is different than some backpacking, but it's nice not to carry a water filter or carry out trash. There are many different options for hiking in from easy to difficult.
