It was windy, so bring warm gear. Great campground close to the beach with drinking water, vault toilets, food locker, and bins for trash. Perfect for a hike to the secret beach and amphitheater/sky cave due to proximity and ability to time arrival with low tide. Coast trail is longer but wide, flat, and easy. You can even use a mountain bike to take the Coast Trail. Laguna trail goes uphill and is more narrow with gullies but has blackberries. Definitely recommend!

We love the walk-in sites at Point Reyes! What we don't love is the other people. We often have a good experience with respectful camping neighbors, but not always. This time, there was some kind of group, possibly from a college, with a total of 18 people. While they had reserved various spots, they carried all the picnic tables to a single spot near us and proceeded to talk and party loudly all day and into the night. Given the remote location, there are no rangers or hosts on site so when this happens, you just have to tough it out.

Loved this site. The hike was 1.5 mi uphill but was nice. Can't wait to come back!
