Beautiful and well kept sites

Incredible campsite! Easy hike out/back from Palomarin Trailhead; mostly wide path with a small overgrown section of single track. Campsite is also next to beach access, making it incredibly easy to hike out -> drop bags and set up camp -> head to falls along the beach without the extra weight.

Stayed at Sky Camp and Glen Camp. Both nice backcountry campgrounds with potable water, toilets, and even trash collection!

About a 1.5 mi hike from the Sky Trailhead parking lot. Parking lot has maybe 10 car capacity, get there early or there may not be space at this trailhead.

Sky camp #3 was great, views were nice but some of the campsites definitely had better views. Drinkable water is available + 2 vault-style restrooms.

There is one trail that will lead from Sky Camp down to the Coast Camp + the beach, ~4.5 mi one way, it’ll take about 2 hours to complete

Service reception is very spotty/and calls may or may not get though— once at camp (AT&T), there is 0 signal while hiking on trail.

Campsite 9 was not great. I'd give it a 2. It is VERY close to the group site, which is fine, but the members of the group site walk past our tent to get to water and bathrooms. That is not necessary as the walkway/road is close too but literally walked right by out tent was inconsiderate. Also, did so at night shining their headlamps (accidentally I'm sure) into the tent.

We moved to site 11 and THAT was great. That site is a bit elevated (by about 5 ft..) but so much quieter and felt so much more secluded than site 9. Would highly recommend sites 10 or 11 at Coast camp.

The campsites are a challenge to reserve, but I think I see why people return over the years. Lots of native plants were along the trails, with some invasive exceptions. The mature trees condense the fog and rain it down onto plants and tents below. Pretty classic coastal landscape comes unadorned with houses or other heavy infrastructure.

Can’t beat the location! Plus there’s potable water and bathrooms. Sites 1-7 offer good privacy. Well-maintained campground.

Camped at Marshall beach, great view, not crowded. Bathroom facilities were just a short walk away from our campsite. The background hills blocked some of the winds and we were able to walk up a service road approximately a mile and get great views of the ocean on the other side of the bay.

Hike from Bear Valley visitor center to Sky campground was beautiful but very overgrown, check clothing for ticks. Hiked sky and bear valley trails to complete the 12.5 mi loop. Beautiful and challenging hike overall.
