Great time, incredible scenery. Absolutely fantastic destination for first-time backpackers with vault toilets, running water, and trash cans. Not much elevation, campsites are set far apart. The other amazing thing is my friend lost his Oura ring and Ranger Fiona emailed AND texted to me to tell me that they found it in on picnic table at the Glen campsite we stayed. THAT IS ABOVE AND BEYOND. Only downside was Fire Lane Trail connector from Sky to Coast was compeltely overgrown and I had a massive patch of poison oak rash on my lower leg. Good times!

The campsite was lovely. Fog/mist obscured the view, but made a welcome respite from the summer heat.
The hike from the trailhead to camp (1.3 mi) and down to the beach (4 mi) were cool and green and not too challenging.

We had an excellent camping trip on the shores of Tomales bay. We enjoyed the beautiful cool weather. Note that the areas to camp at high tide are limited. Also note that the local racoons are active and vistited us everyday. Lots of poison oak in the area as well. We came prepared for both and enjoyed our two nights. The Bio-luminesense was amazing in the water after dark.
