I was disappointed with the current condition of this campsite. During the last few miles of the hike, the trails were poorly maintained, both costal and inner trail were covered with poison hemlock and thorny vines overgrowing and obstructing the path. There was also used toilet tissue left around the campsites, which was very disappointing.
This used to be a beautiful, well-maintained campground, so it’s unfortunate to see it in its current state. I hope the managing agency restores the trails and campsites so future visitors can enjoy the area again.

stayed at site 4. lots of skunks! they kept to themselves, but fyi. deer also around and saw a bear claw at our site. lots of whales for hours off the coast. enjoyed the hand soap at the water spigot. water tasted good. bit of a walk to the toilet, but beats being near them and/or the group sites. great privacy/quiet. fell asleep listening to the ocean

What an amazing place to hike, camp, relax, and everything in between! Sky camp has wonderful views of the forested hills and the ocean below. A day hike to the beach is totally doable and full of magical scenery. Definitely going to return soon!

Hiked up with my 8 year old daughter. First time backpacking—very doable. Sites are good sizes, private, water and pit toilets not too far away. We’ll be back!
