My husband and I went to this campground and stayed at site 23 from September 9th to the 23rd. It was a great and amazing site. Just from where you park you will be able to see the lake right from there. You are not going to be disappointed.
The road to get there depending on which way that you are coming from is smooth but you will deal with some bumps and small holes in the road getting there. But besides that the sunset is amazing and great for a photo. The staff was great and the best part that at site 23 the restroom is right there and they have showers also.
Not to mention that they do have rattle snakes and coyotes. While we were staying there we didn't see none but on our last day a coyote came out of the trees but didn't bother us. But overall this is a highly recommend campground to stay at yourself or with your family. We will be staying there again and forgot to mention that you will run into the most nicest people. It is really family friendly and pet friendly. And the closest stores are only about 25 to 30 minutes away.

The campsites for RVs with sewer connections are small and can feel over crowded.

This was exactly what we needed after being in Yosemite, which had been crowded. It was so peaceful, we were there during the week. The camp hosts were amazing. They were very helpful. The campsite was clean. The bathroom was clean. We had full hookups and after having no hookups in Yosemite it was amazing to have water and power and sewer. And the views of the lake and rolling hills were beautiful. We saw so many birds and hawks, even a bald eagle! We didn't want to leave. I'm ready to go back. Thank you to the camp hosts and the rangers.

None of the campsites with power have any view of the lake. The camp hosts were nice and checked on me each day they were on duty. Except for the lousy cell signal I enjoyed my stay.

Stayed another 3 days and it's just the same. We stayed at site 21 this time and it was close to the bathrooms. Don't have to walk far. And the have hookups and none hookups for those who don't need it. Come here!!
