It's a very nice campground. The RV spots are a little tight getting into, but not unmanageable.

As always love this place it’s hot hot hot there from late June to October if you have a large AC on your rig you’ll be fine as most spots have no shade covering the spaces…. Lake is way way down this time of year….

We had such a wonderful stay at Codorniz Recreation Area Campground! The campground itself was quiet, clean, and very well maintained. The park grounds were beautiful, and it was obvious that a lot of care goes into keeping everything looking great.
The free showers were a huge bonus and much appreciated. The bathrooms were decent overall. Unfortunately, a few fellow campers left them messy, which isn’t the campground’s fault. The staff did their best to keep up with it.
Our kids had an absolute blast playing in the water and enjoying the volleyball court. It was the perfect place for our family to relax and make memories together.
The absolute highlight of our stay was Terri and J. They are two of the friendliest, kindest, and happiest campground hosts we’ve ever met. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome. They went out of their way to make our kids smile by giving them stickers and coloring books, which absolutely made their day. It’s those little thoughtful gestures that leave a lasting impression. They were always cheerful, incredibly helpful, and genuinely seemed to love what they do.
Because of Terri and J, along with the clean, peaceful campground, this was one of our favorite camping trips. We’d gladly return and highly recommend Codorniz Recreation Area Campground to anyone looking for a relaxing, family-friendly place to camp.

This campground is a wonderful place to enjoy the still quiet of nature and to watch abundant wildlife wander by. On my visit I spotted coyotes, deer, bobcat, red tailed hawks, owls, turkey vultures, rabbits, and many colorful small birds. It's a special place run by a dedicated and thoughtful team of people.
I especially want to recognize the volunteer camp host team of Terri and J, who were friendly, approachable, informative, and very visible during my stay. Cool people and I was glad they were there. They welcomed me to camp within an hour of arrival and were a wealth of helpful information. I especially appreciated their enthusiasm for Eastman Lake, which I also share. I look forward to coming back.
I felt very safe here. On the weekends the ranger, sheriff and camp hosts all patrol...something I was very happy to see. It is always a good sign when you see that level and frequency of visibility by the park staff and volunteers.

First off, we were scheduled to stay longer and we only left early due to extreme heat.
This is a beautiful campground. The grounds are clean, the rangers are super helpful and friendly, but the best thing of all was the warm welcome we got from the campground volunteers. Jay and his wife are so friendly, knowledgeable, and kind. Beautiful place, relaxing, great place to get away from everything. Thanks Jay!!

We had everything we needed; electricity, showers, lake. The campground was maintained well. It was quiet which we were grateful for. The lake was warm which was nice. All in all we give it a thumbs up. Bring everything you need because there aren’t any stores nearby. We saw a lot of stunning Eagles and Hawks. We took a long bumpy road to the store . We had to go real slow but were delighted with the wildlife we saw.

I had a wonderful time camping at Cordoniz. The entire campground is clean and quiet. My site was large and had two huge oak trees to offer shade. I will definitely be booking return visits!
