Clean, quiet and affordable. Camp hosts we friendly, attentive and do wonderful work to keep the area nice. Nice level camping spots that are easy to get into. Plenty of walking/biking trails in the area. A new frisbee golf course and access to the Sacramento River. Campers have free use of boat ramp. Shower facilities were always clean and shower had plenty of hot water. Nothing to complain about during my 2 week stay.

I recently spent two nights here and was immediately impressed by how well-kept the campground is. The camp host, a dedicated volunteer, takes their role seriously but maintains a friendly and welcoming demeanor. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and provided with helpful information about the campground's amenities and rules. Verizon users will appreciate the strong cell service, which makes it easy to stay connected even in this tranquil setting.

The campground offers both electric and non-electric sites, with electric sites available for just $30 per night, an incredible deal for the convenience of power and water. Non-electric sites are even more affordable at $16 per night. The campground features scenic walking trails through the woodlands and along the river, as well as a boat ramp and a disc golf course, providing plenty of recreational opportunities. For larger groups, there is also a group campsite available.

Amenities include hot showers that operate with quarters, though it’s important to bring exact change as no change services are available on-site. One notable limitation for RV campers is the lack of a dump station, which is something to consider when planning your stay. The campground enforces a quiet time from 10 PM to 6 AM, including generator use, ensuring a peaceful atmosphere. However, campers should be aware that a train runs on the other side of the river, which can be heard from the campground—light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.

For those camping with pets, the campground allows up to two dogs per campsite, and they must be kept on a leash at all times. The friendly and accommodating camp host, well-maintained grounds, and excellent amenities make this campground a standout choice. For just $30 per night for electric sites, it’s hard to find a better value.

Sycamore Grove is a very clean and quiet campground. We stopped for one night while traveling south in our campervan. We rolled in at ~ 7:00 pm without a reservation, but there were plenty of good sites available. After choosing a campsite, we just used the website to book it (we had good cell coverage there with T-Mobile).

The main bathroom was clean and in good order. It has flush toilets, and the sinks even have hot water. There are coin-operated showers that we didn't use, but obviously work.

There are a couple vault toilets on the other side of the campground, but we didn't use them, so I can't comment on them (but I'm guessing they're fine too).

The campground is very conveniently located just a few minutes off of I-5. Remarkably, despite its close proximity to the Interstate, highway noise is absolutely not an issue at Sycamore Grove. It is quiet and very calm there.

We will definitely stop here again.

The campground is beautiful, quiet, full of magnificent trees and birds and trails. The camp host was very helpful in helping change our site to an even better one upon arrival. She was friendly, knowledgeable, competent, experienced and I hope she is valued by the agency. We have had similar good experiences camping here without a hookup to our small rv over the past few years. This has become a favorite park when traveling in CA.
