What Guests Are Saying
Ackerman Campground offers a beautiful and spacious setting with clean bathrooms and attentive hosts, making for a pleasant stay. The campground is quiet, with wildlife sightings adding to the charm, although some may find traffic noise from I-5 disruptive. While the water is cold and accessing the lake can be challenging, many guests express their satisfaction and plan to return.

No visible signs of anyone managing. Reserved signs are weeks old. We were there twice, one week apart. Reserved sign was not changed after first visit. The reserved sign showed reservations back 2 weeks. When we returned, the same old reservation was marked. Based on what I saw, no one had touched the reservation signs since before July 7. The men’s room was a pig stye. Whoever is responsible for the campground is not doing their job and should be fired.

It’s a cute little campground but if you want a lake that is easy to get to and swim in, then this is not your campsite lol. I stupidly didn’t check what Trinity lake was good for before booking due to it being a last minute decision to take a camping trip. I’d only come if you have a boat or some kind of water craft to take onto the lake or you don’t mind driving 35+ minutes to the alps for the hikes. It was crazy hot in mid July, 108 degrees.
