Bushytail is a beautiful campground! However, the day we arrived, so did a group of at least 25 from the same family. Seven tents went up in close proximity and a city was born. Although very nice people, with a group that size, it is next to impossible to keep the noise down. The noise was outside the quiet hours but it was nonstop the entire day! They basically took over the restroom, forcing us to walk to the one located at the entrance. Someone vomited in the restroom, as well as outside the door. This was not cleaned during our stay. We are trying to figure out the logic of mixing single sites with double, triple and quad sites. These larger sites are essentially group sites and not needed since there are several designated group sites nearby. We recommend converting Bushytail to single sites only and moving the larger groups to the group sites where they belong. Fortunately, the "mob" stayed only a couple days and we ended up having our last two days in peace and quiet. That was heaven on earth. Our rating would have been much lower had we not had those last couple days of tranquility.

Bushy tail it’s a great place to camp, we had a good time with my family and friends, the bathrooms were very clean and the lake was very close, I would love to come back again.

Beautiful site but no dump station. Motorhomers beware! Bushytail has water and electric but no dump station. Shasta is a beautiful National Park, and I highly recommend it if you love nature.

Locks on shower room doors missing. We’re finally replaced the day I left. A lot of cut trees/debris around.

The camp was nice except for fact the trash dumpsters were overflowing and spilling onto the ground and camp host didn't clean up and the stench was horrible, the wind blew the smell right into our campsite. Also, charging $5 for campers to take a shower is a rip off. Other than that the camp ground was nice and quiet. The lake is beautiful.

The campground was beautiful and very quiet. The site was well provisioned, with nice firepits, tables and space for small camper + car. Two negatives: 1) the showers, which cost $5, were cold with almost no water pressure. 2) in the site next to ours, a party with at least 12 people and 4 cars showed up, with 6-8 tents/hammocks spread out all over. They weren't too noisy, but their spread and so many people made it harder to enjoy our site, and they walked through our campsite to the bathroom regularly (instead of using the road). There's a reason for site limits and for group sites!
