Very, very quiet. Only people we saw driving through were going farther down to the boating area. Swimming creek nearby was super nice, so were showers.

Very good space for each spot, and good facilities. Showers cost $5 per use per person. Spots 2A, 2B, 2C, and 2D look like they can be combined to hold a very large group.

Campsites were good. Showers and bathrooms were clean. Was there on a weekday in July and there was no one camping. Felt very secluded. Trinity lake is spectacular of you paddleboard it in the morning. You get it all to yourself before boats come out. Would recommend.

We had the company of a bear most of our 8 day stay. That bear was up and at it around 3 AM each day, without fail! We had the BEST access to the restroom and trash bins. Signs warn against aiding the bear unknowingly, propping doors open, putting loose trash in the dumpster, and other such signs. Yet the bear(s) would come each night and wreck the place. Finally, the bear rolled the dumpster off the pavement and into the edge of the woods! What a mess, as the bottom of the dumpster was torn open and the contents were strewn asunder! The park cleaning staff and the trash company staff worked to clean it up and a new dumpster was installed. End of bear problem. And speaking of the park cleaning staff, Carie was AWESOME! We didn't need for anything, and she was so helpful with the local shops and diners!

Site 10 bear box broken, no camp host, water was turned off when we left, trash can was tipped with trash pouring out of it do the bears would come. At one point we had the whole place to ourselves

Campground is well maintained, with paved parking, nice cement tables and metal fireplaces. Really first rate!

I love this place and recommend it 100%; this is the second time we’ve camped here, and I hope to return soon.

No hot water in the showers and was expected to pay $5 per shower! We stayed at Bushytail 3 years ago and there was no hot water in the showers then either.

Incredible natural setting and peaceful. We stayed here for a few nights and absolutely loved it. The campsites are spaced nicely apart, giving you plenty of privacy and a true "out in nature" feel. The surrounding trees and close access to the lake made it the perfect base camp. And the toilets were kept incredibly clean. It is very quiet at night, perfect for stargazing. Will definitely be coming back.
