East Meadow Campground

Many campsites have a nice view of the reservoir.

Logging activity on nearby privated land can be loud and logging trucks frequent the road leading to the reservoir. The size of the trucks and their speed creates hazardous condition on the narrow Forest Service road.

Unfortunately the potable water system is unreliable and it appears restrooms are often closed due to water system failures. Restroom replaced by portables that less than optimal.

You pay the same nightly price regardless of the status of the potable water system. Not entirely fair treatment.

The sites were clean and big enough to enjoy with the whole crew. Very convenient to the water, the restrooms and spigots of water. I will always return. It’s out of the way but close enough to the city you feel like you’re in the distant wilderness but close enough to civilization if you get the homesick feel. Wonderful. Ten out of ten. WOULD RECOMMEND! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The campground and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. It was my maiden voyage in my new (first time owner) RV and the site was wide enough for easy parking and was level so there was no issues with gravity 😎

Good paved road (except a rough section right off 89). No cell service. Restroom in good condition. Site 8 has a decent amount of room but the ground towards site 10 is rough for a tent. Hard to find a suitable spot except close to the fire ring. Not a lot of delineation to separate from the site behind. Lots of water spigots around. No camp host/no firewood for sale when we went.

A very pretty venue. Campsites well placed and mostly level enough. We were there mid-week and campground was maybe 10% occupied even though all the sites had reserved signs mostly for the time we were there. Also no camp host which isn't a big deal but probably part of the reason for all of those reserved but unoccupied sites, no one's checking on reservations vs occupants. Another problem is that even if someone cancelled in a timely manner they only get back about 1/2 of the original cost so many probably don't bother.

Lack of non reservation sites is a problem. Used to always have ability to come without reservations. Lack of camp host is an issue. Garbage dump only at exit is inconvenient. Otherwise, lake was full and sites were clean. very nice.

Been camping there for 40 years and, although the campground has had problems the past several years with closures, restrictions, and water access, this year was great even thoough there was no camp host to keep toilet paper in the restrooms.

Nice location mid week quiet weeks ends busy. No enforcement of leach regulations, no camp host.

We were not too happy to find out just days before our camping trip that campfires and charcoal grills were not allowed. Combined with the lake being closed to motorized boats, it was certainly a disappointment, and the campground was nearly empty as a result.
