What Guests Are Saying

East Meadow Campground offers a beautiful and peaceful location with well-maintained sites and easy access to the lake, making it ideal for swimming and paddle boarding. However, recent issues with water availability and restroom closures have impacted the overall experience, along with concerns about noise and site management due to the absence of a camp host. While many campers appreciate the campground's charm and atmosphere, consistent maintenance and communication about amenities are needed for improvement.

We love relaxing at the lake as well as kayaking, swimming, and paddle boarding. At the end of the day we enjoy cooking over the campfire and following that with a walk around the loop of the campground!

Love East Meadows campground but pretty disappointed the hosts can’t put soap in the bathrooms.

We camp here a lot, and it's usually good. We know it's a popular spot, so we expect a noisy time. This time was fun, but the camp hosts seemed to not care at all about how rowdy the campers got. They parked in the spots designated for our campground, and we were forced to park at the entrance to the campground with our kayaks at risk of being stolen. We will probably camp elsewhere from now on.

The camp host was very friendly and helpful. I asked about where to locate the junction for the PCT southbound. We had a beautiful hike for specular vista of the area. Campsite was clean. I didn't use the bathrooms since I have an RV. I did find a short trail down to the lake, but that isn't marked. Only suggestion is to mark that trail which is located by the lower numbered campsites.

Host would not enforce the social distancing rules. Group campsites had anywhere from 10 to 20 people at one time and not social distancing. Host would speed around in company truck oblivious to the numerous children out riding bicycles.

No one is making campers follow the rules. A boat was in overflow parking, cars and truck were parked with half their width blocking the paved road. Trash cans were overflowing. The camper across from us ran their generator all day up till 10pm.One site had 5 vehicles at it. A double site had 8 vehicles and 10 tents. A boat was tied up at the dock for days. No fish in 13 days, what happened? Please change quiet time to 8pm not 10pm. We have camped at Jackson Meadows(JM) for 21 years and this is the first time no one was catching fish and no rules were followed. I hope you can return JM to what it was.
