When I arrived to the camping area someone was already in my reserved campsite (13). I asked them to move but the owner of the truck was gone and they were unable to move the RV Camping trailer. I had to take another spot and was unsure if it too was reserved, this caused me a lot of stress. Since there was no Camp host at Lower Little Truckee camping area, I had to just guess which sites were open. The person that took my campsite told me the next day that they were "confused". Reserved campsites need to be CLEARLY MARKED or it defeats the whole purpose of reserving online. This must be fixed.

We had the end campsite it was great. Plenty of room between sites, the river was running but no fish. Nice little walking trail. Camp host was friendly and helpful.

Nice, clean campground, beautiful wooded area, with the scenic Truckee stream running behind the campground. Good sites. The only negatives were the non-potable water, and the traffic noise from the nearby Route 89.

Campground was nice with river but loud trucks driving on the adjacent highway kept me awake all night. I might return for day use but not overnight.

We had a great experience at Lower Little Truckee! We stayed in our campervan with our dog, and it was the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. The campground is quiet and scenic, with the river nearby adding a relaxing atmosphere. The campsites are well-spaced for privacy, and the bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. It was a great place to unwind, enjoy nature, and explore the area. We’d definitely come back!
