We go every year for my boyfriend‘s birthday and the reservation thing was pretty good because we knew where we’re gonna get the campsite we wanted. The water was beautiful as always.

There were no good options for landing a boat near the camp site.

When u reserve a campsite, even car camping it normally comes with a designated place to park next to your site. Well.... Don't expect that with boat in camping. When we pulled up to our boat in camp site we were met with a 2 story house boat that was parked right in front of our site. So, the whole week we got to stare at the house boat instead of the lake, could t enjoy the beach etc. It made the entire trip a waste of money. You book the site because of the beach & when we complained nobody did anything. Not the sheriff, not the marina manager. They all said oh that's not us... But they came & cleaned the bathroom 🤷🏼. Never saw anyone come around to check sites to make sure people were where they were supposed to be. Just a waste of money to stare at this entitled house boat owner who parked right in front of our site & took over half the beach. So if you go, go early cause anyone can park at your site & that water view & beach you were looking forward to enjoying will be nothing other than a house boat with about 20 people cumg, going, & dominating tne beach you thought you reserved. 🤬
