The bear problem continues to worsen. Among the three bears that consistently pester campers, one is particularly aggressive and may require bear spray.

Campsite has a lot of great amenities, but overall it was just okay. The bathroom were some of the worst I’ve ever experienced and we camp a lot. Most of my complaints were with the other campers who do not bother to follow any of the rules about bears and leave their campsites unattended with food everywhere and dump all their trash in the bathroom instead of the bear bins. This part is not the campsites fault but the bathrooms were so bad that I ended up using porta potties at the start of hikes instead.

Wonderful place to stay, close to the beach, parks and Fallen Leaf Lake. If you don't mind no privacy between campsites this is a great place to enjoy what South Lake has to offer.

Bears 🐻 campsite was amazing for the kids to ride bike around and we had a beautiful site, but bears were running through our camps… 9 run ins in total for our 3 night stay
