Camp Richardson's Badgers Den offers a beautiful location with convenient access to the beach, restaurants, and activities, making it a cherished spot for many visitors. Most reviewers highlighted the cleanliness of the campgrounds and the friendliness of the staff, with some enjoying amenities like the ice cream shop and bike rentals. However, issues such as noise from fellow campers and inadequate bathroom supplies were noted, along with challenges related to bear safety and enforcement of quiet hours, suggesting room for improvement in management.

A nice campground with clean bathrooms and spacious tent only sites. It is a good location for a walk on the beach, through the historical sites and to the general store or ice cream shop. The 8 minute/$3 token showers were great! We were far enough away from the huge group sites and 89 so that the noise wasn't too bad, though we were there mid week with many sites vacant.

Nice camp ground, but very noisy. Easy access to Pope Beach. Bathrooms are nice, easy walk to ice cream, coffee and general store. The downside is nobody enforces the quiet hours. People were loud until 2 Am every night we were there.

I don’t think our campsite was cleaned before we get there. Trash scattered all over the place and in fire pit. Never once saw the camp host and bathrooms not so clean. Pope beach was obviously amazing.

Great location. Love everything about it. Bathrooms were clean and always stocked with toilet paper. Security was driving around all night, looking for bears to scare them away from camp. There was a few campers complaining about the amount of bears, but if you’re going to complain about the bear in a place like Lake Tahoe, it’s best and stay in the city or a cabin. That was their activity every single night. They were not aggressive and you can tell were used to humans and we’re just for the food. Overall great experience.

We have been coming to Camp Richardson every summer for over a decade. It is our 'happy place!' The campsites are wonderful and we take advantage of everything: general store, coffee shop, beachfront music and the wonderful walking/biking trail that runs along the entire area. We can't recommend Camp Richardson enough!

Camp Richardson is a place we take our family every year for camping. I recommend renting or bring a bike to ride around the amazing trails, the coffee shop, the beach, and the ice cream shop. There is plenty to do for the kids and the adults.

We love Camp Rich. Always the best time. It may be time to tell other visitors they don't need to set off their car alarms every time they see a bear , just keep your things locked up.!
