Camp Richardson's Badgers Den offers a beautiful location with convenient access to the beach, restaurants, and activities, making it a cherished spot for many visitors. Most reviewers highlighted the cleanliness of the campgrounds and the friendliness of the staff, with some enjoying amenities like the ice cream shop and bike rentals. We had a wonderful time and loved the location, close to the lake and lots of onsite options available like bike rentals and a general store nearby. We rented bikes and biked to one of the nearby beaches for a day. It was clean at the campground and well maintained, but you definitely need to be prepared to be bear safe, they come often.

It was Labor Day weekend. We stayed a Fri-Mon. By Sunday night, the bathrooms were out of paper towels and toilet paper and getting pretty messy. They weren’t restocked until Mon, late morning. But other campers said it wasn’t normally like that, but I guess the holiday made it more quickly used. Overall, we had a nice weekend with friends. The bear boxes are more shallow than others I have used. The campground stayed awake well past quiet time. Not rowdy but still making noises. Lots of large family groups. And people were pulling in and setting up camp well past midnight on the Friday. We were in site-60. If emergency vehicles were on HWY 89, the sirens were quite loud in the night. These aren’t complaints, just FYI.

Incredibly noisy! It wasn't just the noisy road, but also the many campers who didn't observe quiet hours and kept us from sleeping for seven days. Absolutely unacceptable given the high price—suitable only for a party holiday! The only plus was the beach within walking distance.

Took a friend here camping who had neve been to Tahoe and he loved it. we had 3 different groups of coyotes howling at each other through out the night, made it really epic. used the showers and they were great. This was my first time at this campground and it was a nice location. i like off season, no crowds, but did get cold at night, high 30s.

Truly one of the worst camping experiences I've had. Check in was fairly complex, and wasn't communicated well leading up to the stay. Then, camp was very loud (people using generators at early/late hours), car alarms going off in the middle of the night. Worst of all, there was no toilet paper in any of the bathrooms (which there are several). This was unacceptable, and I would've been better off dispersed camping. Camp Richardson needs to seriously improve their maintenance routines, and noise policies to prevent things like this from happening in the future.

Stayed in site 76- good distance from the bathroom, walking distance from the lake and pretty shaded on half the site. So baked perfectly.
