Very well staffed and consistently run with competent hosts, ranger, and beyond. The park is always clean, has direct access to a stunning lake, trails, and the campsites feel like real campsites instead of a parking lot as is found in nearby locations. Yet still close to Lake Tahoe should you want to walk over, on the bike path you need to head out further, and accessible to town as needed, tho there is a small camp store open 10-6 (no propane). It is a big campground, and you'll be engaging with your neighbors and bears, but what it lacks in remoteness it makes up for in beauty and character.

Beautiful spot, but slightly on a hill so be prepared to level if you are in a camper. Would stay stain.

Beautiful campground very shaded gorgeous lake some of the spots are very tight to get in so definitely make sure your trailer and car can fit in the parkway because you can’t park your car anywhere else. Employees keep the campground very clean and the restrooms are very clean. 2 thumbs up!!

The campsite was great, not too close to neighbors and well-equipped for our needs. Water, trash, and toilet/shower close by. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to many Tahoe adventures. Fifteen minutes to town.

The stay was wonderful as always. Campground was very clean and actually pretty quiet also in the evenings and mornings. There was one host that seemed to have quite a chip on his shoulder and who was not very nice. As I was walking back into the campground from a hike with my dog on our first day and as I was getting ready to put his leash back on, the dog saw my kid across the road (in our campsite 100 feet away) and beelined it over there. This host lost his mind and was screaming at me to put my dog on a leash. I'm sorry....but the situation really didn't warrant that strong of a reaction. He eyeballed me every time I saw him after that too. Other than the one guy, everyone else was fantastic! Bring your own firewood if campfires are allowed when you're there. It was $15 to buy a normal small bundle there. Fallen Leaf Campground is such a wonderful spot. Highly recommend.
