We really enjoyed this campground. We were assigned a great site (192) that was super private and nice and we stayed two weeks in July 2024. Our campsite was close to the restrooms and the trail to the lake. The entire campground was and stayed immaculate and the restrooms were always clean and well-stocked. The camp hosts were friendly and the kiosk ladies were great. Sketchy to no cell service there though, so if connectivity is important to you and your family, you may want to avoid this campground. There’s a nice paved bike path that starts near Campsite 6 and takes you to Highway 89 and connects with the Lake Tahoe bike trail. We love Fallen Leaf Lake and Campground!

Martin was our camp host our first night there (site 146). He was the highlight of our trip! Warm and welcoming, with such a positive attitude and full of great conversation! The grounds were kept really neat, the bathrooms always had toilet paper and were tidy. What a great two-day escape from the hustle and bustle!

Beautiful campsite at Fallen Leaf Lake very close to Lake Tahoe too. We took our bikes, which is really fun. However, every day we stayed here, we were visited by a Bear. Despite our food being in the bear locker. I did not feel safe, sleeping in a tent hearing a bear breathing. When I told the told the camp host he said they are just looking food. I feel like it’s a dangerous attitude and that at some point someone’s going to get hurt.
