RV Village Campground at Camp Richardson Resort

This is a great campground with so much to offer.

Stay was great except all hookups (power, water, sewer) are in the front of the rv parking. Since my hookups are in the rear drivers side my power had to be connected with an extension cord and plugged into 110amp not allowing AC to run. Other issue is the septic hose was not long enough to reach the drain and had to use the dump station.
Since we had hookup issues I would not consider the sites full hookups. Ace hardware had a 25 foot 30amp extension for $109 which I was not willing to purchase since I have never seen any rv park ith hookup issues for full hookups.

Loved the campground. Location is great. Enjoyed all the walking trails close by. Disappointed in how many people brought dogs when it was clearly stated they were not allowed.

Beautiful campsite and the location is amazing! Easy to walk to the beach, coffee and ice cream. Love music daily at the walkable restaurant. Quiet, serene location.

Signs of where to pull our rig in to register were not visible and the only one we saw had a different name on the sandwich board. Went to the hotel, a man there said we needed to go back to that RV entrance with a different name. We did that, the same man handed us a card for our site and sent us on our way. Couldn't find our campsite, went back to the kiosk and asked for a map (same man) and he handed me one but couldn't find our site on it himself! Had to go back a 3rd time to get the tag for our windshield:-( I located it...drove there with some difficulty as the sites are not easily identified by the signage. Our site was horrible and the only level place was too far for 30 amp. Second night in another site...NO bear locker! We were told oh well, just keep the ice chest in our rig (a van with no real room). Found out the man who helped us the day before is the manager! Ugh. Bears boldly walking through the middle of the campground both mornings searching for food and us with no bear locker in our site:-( We worried about the bears around so many people - they are managed very differently here than they do in Alaska campgrounds.
Would I return...sadly no. We have camped for almost 50 years and this was the poorest for management we have encountered (other than the man who was driving around in his truck checking out each site...he was amazingly helpful and attentive).

2nd stay here and just love it! Gonna make it an annual stop on our camping trips.

This campground is in a great location at South Lake. We live just down the hill and like to come visit here at least twice a year. You could literally never leave Camp Rich, and have a great vacation. RV sites are close together, but not as bad a most RV resorts. Some sites are pretty uneven, but I have seen way way worse.

The site was large and mostly level. The location was great for accessing bike trails, beaches and the state park. check in was efficient and welcoming. The dump site was accessed easily and clean.
Be aware the hookups are at the front of the sites, so a long connection cord or hose may be needed if you want to hook up during your stay.

Worst campground we stayed at on our two week road trip. Sites very unlevel. Amenities closed way to early. 6 pm for the camp store. Sites too close together. Was eating our supper inside our camper and the people beside us were emptying there waste into a portable container about 10 feet away.

We have been camping here for quite a while and always have a good time. We are disappointed that the restrooms still remain awful. The toilets aren't too bad but the shower facility is pathetic and has been for a long time. Other than that, it's always a fun time. The beach being close by is great. Kid like the ice cream shop down the road and gift/restaurant is close by and nice, too.
