RV Village Campground at Camp Richardson Resort

We arrived around 7pm to find that the neighbor had moved into our spot as well as occupying his own. We contacted the camp host, who sent a couple times investigate. They spoke to the neighbor and the neighbor was not willing to move. He offered to move his truck out of his spot, but he was leaving in the morning so we would have to move again for the next rv. Although there was no equitable solution, the staff was nice and to avoid conflict they offered us a full refund (which im still waiting to see) . We ended up at thousand trails, which was much nicer but more than double the cost. It was worth it though. Camp Richardson had people packed in nose to tail and no one looked like they were having a good time. In fact, I was thankful we didn't have to stay as it was pack!

Our spot was very well adapted to our small RV.
We had power/water hooked up and the wifi provided by the campground was working just fine.
The only bad thing was the number of people, because it is a very popular campground you are never alone...

The campground was good, but the location of the RV hookups was a problem since there is one location between 2 sites and it was at the road edge. This makes half the RV sites requiring extremely long hoses or other creative methods.

Great spot for Lake Tahoe. The Beach down the street does get crowded.

We absolutely loved our stay here! We spent our anniversary at Camp Richardson and this spot was beautiful. We were there a week and it was the best time. We recommend the store, ice cream shop and the coffee shop. All were good and of course The Grove was really amazing with the fabulous lake views!

Great location, clean restrooms and Showers (Hot water, no quarters) AND Ice Cream Shop!

This is a great campground. Access to the lake on foot is great. It is a bit pricey if you wanna drive your car down for the day at $12. The bicycle trails running through the forest and along the lake are very nice and well-maintained. We really love it here.

Come prepared with very long hoses, cords for electric, water, sewage. Have never been in a campground where connections are so horribly placed. Showers/bathrooms are very old with peeling paint on the floors and years of filth. Such a shame, if they would just repaint and put in shower mats it would make such a difference. MAKE SURE YOU NOTICE THAT NO PETS ARE PERMITTED. (In all our travels, never stayed at a campground with no pets!) The good...easy walk to the lake, historical buildings, good food, free concerts, bike rentals, coffee and ice cream!

Very nice campsite. Great bike trails
