Atwell Mill Campground

Our experience was wonderful the road up there was dicey but if you go slow and take your time you will be fine. Being surrounded by sequoias was amazing, we went the first week in August and it rained lightly the whole time we were there but it was still beautiful. The rain helped keep the yellow jacket bees away and mosquitoes. I recommend taking a day hike to the bridge waterfall on the Attwell- Hockett trail from Attwell Mill campground it’s 3 mi round trip to the bridge and back. And at silver city you can take a shower for $5 well worth it!

Highlights include camping in the midst of the redwoods, even the stupendous stumps, the 2 mi walk to the falls and bridge, and meeting campers from across the country and the world. Lows include the camper snoring in the next site (we had site 7) and the daytime flies (We went in early August). The camp host was very nice and we enjoyed our stay overall.

Was a little timid on getting this site we were at site 15 further away from everyone because my group tends to get rowdy at night. But overall the drive up the hill was probably the most rigorous but it’s well worth it. Beautiful scenes hiked part way to monarch lakes be ready for lots of steep and long hikes. Beautiful and clean

Camped out at #17 and absolutely loved it! There was a trail near to our campsite but far enough away that we didn't hear anyone.

An absolutely beautiful campsite! The hikes near by are not to miss. Paradise trail was a wonderland of Sequoias. The only down side was how rank these particular outhouses smelled.

Actually between sequoias, clean, reasonable site sizes and spacing. Liked it.
