What Guests Are Saying
Azalea Campground offers a beautiful natural setting with ample shaded and spacious sites, making it ideal for families and groups. Many campers enjoyed the proximity to trails, visitor centers, and stunning views of the surrounding giant sequoias. While some noted issues with bathroom cleanliness and site proximity, the overall experience was positive, with a strong desire to return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location between Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.

Great campsite, clean amenities and beautiful scenery. Stayed for a week with friends at two adjacent campsites, would definitely return. Short drive to Grant Grove Village, and walkable to the General Grant tree area.

Both Sequoia and Kings Canyon are incredible parks. Azalea puts you next to Grants Grove and midway between Kings and Sherman Grove. The campground is in the trees and shaded. Site 7 is next to another site and hard to separate from each other. I would recommend a different site. The is only one toilet. The water is not signed and hard to find. In summary, great park, nice location but below average amenities at the campground.

Beautiful camp site. We arrived after dark and managed to set up 2 three person tents and 1 12 person tent. Sick spot

This was my first time camping & honestly couldn’t have booked a better campground. The campground was very beautiful, lots of foliage around. There are bear boxes near the campground along with a fire pit & bench! The restroom had running water so was great to be able to flush waste, wash hands & even dishes in the outside sinks.

We have been coming here for many, many years and enjoy it every time. Noticed many empty sites even though the website says Azalea is sold out. I'm not going to tell my campsite number because it is the best one and I don't want people to necessarily know about it. Love that you can walk to General Grant although I avoid the crowds by hiking the North Grove. Also love that you can walk to the general store. Site was clean, bathrooms were clean. One thing that would be appreciated is an extra bear box per site as people always bring more than they need!

I’ve camped in many local regional state national parks, and I have to say the camp host here was the very best that I’ve ever encountered. In the past year I’ve been doing more truck pop-up camper camping. I was able to get a site for both nights on a recent study except They were not the same site for each night. He helped to reconcile this and ultimately found the most level site that was close to a restroom.
I cannot say thank you enough To the camp post from Georgia
