Azalea Campground

The campground as a whole is well kept and a nice place to stay. The restrooms were clean, there are spots to take your trash and ash, and there are several nearby places to explore and enjoy. Most areas, including this site (#99), will not have cell coverage, with the exception of Verizon.

Nice basic campground to visit Sequoia NP and Kings Canyon as well.
Site 024, pretty even back-inn space.
1 minute walk to restroom. No showers. Along the campsites is city-water available in a couple of places.
We came in late. No host available, and there was also no check-in-point to verify our reservation. Just drove to the site that was on our reservation.
We were with a 25ft RV. Entered the park at Big hump North Entrance (south Entrance is not suitable and allowed for RVs >22ft. )
Drove first part a the park ourselfs, then parked our RV at Lodge Pool and took the free shuttle bus. Perfect. Just notice that the last bus is around 6 p.m.
back to the parkinglot.

Campsites are spread out, the restroom is a short 3-minute hike upwards. The #10 campsite itself does not have a really flat surface but you can still make do. Beautiful location right in between both sequoia and kings canyon. No showers and restrooms were decent.

105 is a small site but we had enough flat ground for three two-person tents, and it was nice to have our backs to the forest. Good location near Grant Grove and Hume Lake. Essentially every site in this campground (and it seems many others in SEKI) is close to neighbors.

We woke up to someone screaming in the middle of the night, and then woke up again early in the morning to the people next to us yelling at their kids. There were a lot of ants at the campsite and it was very dusty. There were clean flush toilets a bit of a walk away, and the campground is conveniently located near a store.

A friend said that some regards King's Canyon as better than Yosemite. I thought, "No way." Then I visited. King's Canyon is more rugged and untamed. Absolutely stunning. And my stay in Azalea added to the experience. A little crowded, but it is a popular place. The high elevation helps with temperature. This is a sincere review, but DON'T TAKE MY SPOT for next year! ;-)
