Great location, big space for a big group.
Small access to the river.. it’s down hill so just be careful.
But I would 100% go back!!
Close to two restrooms. And a lot of space for the bear box

The views are amazing, and the access to the trails is fantastic. However, the river is a bit far, and one of the toilets keeps getting clogged. Additionally, the campsites are on a hill, and the areas for tents haven’t been leveled.

The campsite was great. Our group site had lots of room. Plenty of tables and bear boxes. We kept hearing about bears, but we know the drill. Everything was put away and cleaned up, so we never encountered any at our site. The only con about the site I had was that I wish they had some lights in the bathrooms. The other problem was more about the people. Instead of using the other trash bin, they piled a bunch outside of the one that was full and then they wonder why bears were coming to visit. Other than that, we had a lot of fun and would love to come back.

This campsite is one of my favorites. I've been tent camping for 30+ years, and this is my second time at this site. Everything is conveniently located. The site was clean, the bathrooms were clean, and my kids got to see bears for the first time. Muir rock was a favorite spot, and the local waterfalls, only within 10 minutes from the site, are great. Next year, the plan is to visit the cave.

Long time campers in cedar grove but first time at canyon view campsite. Bears were active, budget cuts to NPS are evident ie. ranger presence lacking, bathrooms in need of maintenance and roads are bumpy both on highway and campground. Great campground for families with lots of room for games!
