It is always a blast to camp there. Only reason for the drop in rating is the 1. The restroom was shut down most of the time that we were there. 2 the cleanliness of the restrooms were less than ideal. Other than that the place is beautiful. There’s plenty of space between campgrounds. The views, hikes and wildlife are breathtaking.

This site offers enormous space with great shade, though a few of the tent spots closest to the river were pretty exposed. It's conveniently located right by the restrooms, river, dumpsters, and water. It also had 4 bear boxes, two fire pits, and three picnic tables. The ground was pretty flat and all the local activities are very close by. All 18 of us with 7 tents fit very comfortably with plenty of room to spread out. The nearby Kings River provided a beautiful backdrop, and it’s an incredibly convenient basecamp for checking out Grizzly Falls or grabbing a bite at the Cedar Grove Grill.

The campsite was very good with a lot of bear boxes. The benches/tables need to be repaired and maintained better as the wood is splitting and warping and not useable. The bathrooms well good, cleaned and maintained. The outside sink was good, clean and maintained. We had a great time.

As always, Cedar Grove area never fails to entertain. From the bridge to Muir Rock. Beautiful spots to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Several bear sightings which completed our camping trip. Only complaint was the actual campsite- Canyon View, site A. The handle to lock the large bear locker was missing. A ranger needed to provide a wrench to open and close the doors. Also the water spigot closest to the site was inoperable. According to the ranger, it had a leak and they had to turn it off. Both issues were a bit inconvenient but overall we had a safe and enjoyable trip.

We really enjoyed Kings Canyon, and Canyon View is great (though a little farther from the river than other campgrounds we've stayed in inside the canyon). One thing to be aware of: We had bears wander through the campground almost every night. One night a nearby camper left their cooler out and the bear got into it.
