What Guests Are Saying
Cold Springs Campground is a stunning and serene location, nestled by the Kaweah River, offering beautiful scenery and excellent hiking opportunities. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and helpful rangers on-site. While the access road is challenging and some bathrooms need improvement, the overall experience is highly rewarding, making it a favorite for campers seeking a peaceful retreat.

Amazing place once you get there prepare for a long road and dirt roads with uneven terrain recommend suv but I see cars there.

Camp site was nice. We had a walk in site, not too far of a walk and no one else around.
The drive in to Mineral King is intense. Be prepared for over 1 hr on narrow, windy mountain road. Some sections near Mineral King are not paved and very rough. It can be done with a standard street car but there will be times when you question the noises your suspension makes as you unintentionally drive into the 34th pothole in a row.

Nice spot. Very comfortable and quiet. Easy access to water and facilities. It provided a grade staging point for our backpacking trip over Sawtooth Pass. What's not to like?

Very nice spot, right next to the river. Good flat spot for a tent. Pretty good shade. Perfect time to go in late September. Close to water spigot and restroom :) will definitely come back

Campsite 33 at cold springs was perfectly walkable. It was close to the water but wasn’t very deep. The site was managed well, we actually had a Ranger walk into our camp both days a little unexpectedly. There are plenty of restrooms, near boxes and trash cans.

Very nice tent sites. But I’m really getting tired of driving the Mineral King road. The upper end desperately need repair.

It is absolutely beautiful there, listening to the water flowing in the creek is so soothing when going to sleep. A Black bear came by really close to the campground though so be alert for that. Also the drive uphill is honestly very scary, be sure to take a good and stable car for that drive in the mountains. Other then that the whole experience was much needed, a great location to unwind and unplug from the world for a few days.

It’s a beautiful campground. Very clean. Just a long drive with not the best roads but you’re aware of it ahead of time. Can’t wait to return
