Nice campground some sites seemed pretty on top of each other but overall well spaced and quiet. Had several deer come through.

The 2 lovely rangers from this campsite were kind and respectful. Mary, especially, she walked us through the campsite policies and pointed us to great trails to take with our kiddos. Their passion with keeping this place clean and functional is evident and honestly the only reason this place is well kept. Thank you rangers!

Stayed here the last couple of years and it’s going to become a family favorite. Close to the trailheads of the great Mineral King. Still thanking all those that stopped Walt Disney from ever taking over the area back in the 60’s.

Wow, this is hands-down one of the most incredible campgrounds you will ever find! It is the ultimate hidden escape, tucked away at the end of an epic, rugged 2-hour drive for 25 miles. But let me tell you, every single minute of that drive is absolutely worth it because the destination is pure magic and breathtakingly beautiful! We had the absolute best time hiking and strolling through the gorgeous scenery, and just relaxing and soaking it all in. What a dream come true!

Beautiful location nestled in big trees near the Kaweah River. Well maintained and quiet. We had a wonderful time exploring the beauty of Mineral King. The rangers were also very helpful. We would go again!

The campsite itself is absolutely beautiful. What was difficult was the constant foot traffic around our campsite, since it was right by the creek. Those that went to the creek, during our stay, were constantly yelling. We were looking for a more quiet experience. The other issue were the restrooms. The toilet seat (in women’s side)was hanging on by a thread, doors did not lock, and they were not very clean. Hoping this beautiful site gets some more functional restrooms.

I appreciate the fact that the restrooms were clean and nice, even with pit toilets. I also appreciate that the rangers keep the rif raft down, there was no loud music or roudy groups.

Site 12 is nice, considering we slept in our car and didn’t have to haul much up the steep 20ish feet from where you park to where the table and fire pit are located. There was maybe one good spot for a 2 person sized tent which nicely blocks you from the site next door. Bathrooms were clean and stocked. Two cars easily fit in our parking zone but Ranger Mary was eager to let us know that was not allowed and to move to the overflow across the street. I think she has a reputation for laying the law in MK, and seems eager to engage in confrontation instead of hospitality.
