What Guests Are Saying
Cold Springs Campground is a stunning and serene location, nestled by the Kaweah River, offering beautiful scenery and excellent hiking opportunities. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and helpful rangers on-site. While the access road is challenging and some bathrooms need improvement, the overall experience is highly rewarding, making it a favorite for campers seeking a peaceful retreat.

The 2 lovely rangers from this campsite were kind and respectful. Mary, especially, she walked us through the campsite policies and pointed us to great trails to take with our kiddos. Their passion with keeping this place clean and functional is evident and honestly the only reason this place is well kept. Thank you rangers!

Nice campground some sites seemed pretty on top of each other but overall well spaced and quiet. Had several deer come through.

Our campsite was very nice and well maintained. The bathrooms and trash were nearby and well maintained. The scenery was beautiful and you could hear the river from our spot. The staff at the ranger station were very helpful as well.
Great location for camping.

Drive up was very curvy and narrow but I was calm. Campground was quiet and had a fire ring and a bear storage box. Bathrooms are a drop toilet but clean and they have water. Also the car wrapped tarps was new to us but need to return and explore this area more

Camp was in great shape. Evidence of lots of tree removal. We didn’t see any marmots in the campsite but lots of them at the end of the road. Tarps available across from the ranger station. Trails are a little overgrown. Getting to the top of the falls was difficult on the camp side of the river. Easier on the cabin side. Flowers are in bloom and beautiful. The water from the faucet was not drinkable. Sign said to boil the water. It should be resolved by the time you are reading this. The road to Mineral King is amazing. So surprised at how much they’ve improved it in the last year.

Beautiful car camping in Mineral King. Trails to Eagle and Mosquito Lake's need some work on cleaning fallen logs.

This campground is in a beautiful location. Hopefully they can work on the water issues which make it useful for you to bring your own. Some sites, including mine, were a little hard to find a flat place to park or set up more than one tent.

This campground is about 1.5 hours away from Three Rivers and the main road. The campround itself has limited campsites, around 30? Campsite 11 is very near the river and bridge and it was pleasant to hear the rushing water in early morning. The campground can benefit from renovations though.
