What Guests Are Saying
Cold Springs Campground is a stunning and serene location, nestled by the Kaweah River, offering beautiful scenery and excellent hiking opportunities. The campground is well-maintained, with clean facilities and helpful rangers on-site. While the access road is challenging and some bathrooms need improvement, the overall experience is highly rewarding, making it a favorite for campers seeking a peaceful retreat.

Cold Springs was wonderful. The sky's stars were so bright and the air by the spring was quite cool. There were several great hiking options in the area, and the camp's Superintendent Jason, and Ranger Mary were both wonderful to me. I'm grateful to have had a great time at Cold Springs!

Loved camping here!! Make sure to give yourself extra time on the way up, take it slow, be safe. Campsite #12 is on a hill but has level tent pads. It would be nice if the bear box and picnic table were on the same level. Plenty of shade and clean restrooms (vault toilets so there can be some smell at times).

A perfect campground to stay the night before a backpacking trip out of Mineral King! It was peaceful and quiet at night with the sound of the creek!

First time camping at the Cold Spring campground. We were staying whole 7 days so we booked whatever was available which was one of walk-in sites. Did not like the set up of camp site 39 because your neighbors have to walk through your site to access their site. I am sure they can move things around to make it more accessible to the neighbors.
Other than that we enjoyed the how isolated it was, and surrounding hike trails were the best. Definitely coming back but reserving different site perhaps.
