We really enjoyed this location. We weren’t able to hike the trail, because we brought our dogs. However it was nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the steam that was close by. We had spot 19. It was nice. The 20’s were closer to the water if it make a difference to you.

Wonderful tent campground. Just be aware that almost no sites have flat parking if you plan to sleep in a vehicle.

Site 6 is away from the road so no headlights flashing in your tent. It is a little walk to your bear box but not bad. Right by the Cold Spring trailhead so great for walks.

Really nice campground in great location near Mineral King ranger station and not far from the main trailheads. Just be aware several of the sites are oddly shaped and the car space / tent space / bear locker / table are some distance apart, e.g. site 12, which is also very steep.

I went here through Labor day weekend. Reading reviews ahead of time was helpful. The road was full of curves. The mornings were cold and the days were warm. There wasn't a lot of people which was great. If you want a remote campsite, away from the normal crowd this is a place.

I had an amazing trip here, the spot was ready and clean when i got in. The rangers were all friendly and helpful. I am definitely going here again.

Close to the beauty of Mineral King. Try for a site along the stream, but even landlocked sites are fine. Days are hot and nights are cold, so prepare for extremes. And mentally prepare for a stinky latrine - - just a two-holer for the entire campground. But a small price to pay for such beauty. Try the trail to Monarch Lake or Franklin Lake, both terrific hikes.
