We found a mostly empty campground after seeing that all the signs said it was completely booked and having a difficult time booking online. then there was a bear in the campground. then the water main broke.
the campground itself was fine but our site had very little shade and the booking website wasn't working properly when we tried to book it.
overall, I feel like we could do better. don't you, recreation.gov?

Loved the clean restrooms with flushable toilets. We also enjoyed how close it was to the river, store, and nearby attractions such as Muir rock.

I loved my site and experience here. The stars where amazing. Nice to get away from the big crowds in Sequoia. The bathrooms were clean my site was huge with lots of tent space. It is a noisier campsite but I stay up late so don’t mind the noise after hours. A bear came through everyone’s site at night. It stole my s’mores while I stepped away to the car. Still had a great time.
