Moraine Campground offers a spacious and well-maintained environment, perfect for family camping and exploring nearby Kings Canyon. Campers appreciate the clean facilities, excellent hiking opportunities, and beautiful views, with a refreshing river nearby for cooling off. However, the campground is known for bear activity, which can lead to noise from car alarms at night, and some facilities may need improvement, such as bathroom cleanliness and better food storage education. Overall, it’s a lovely camping spot with room for improvement.

The campground description said there were nearby showers at Cedar village, but they were closed/nonexistent. Other than that, it was a very good experience. River is a short hike away. Campgrounds were clean.

Fantastic campsite. Clean and well-presented with lots to do... Great family vacation. Unhappy that calm hours was not respected by others, resulting in several nights of disturbed sleep. Other then this was a beautiful experience!

I was feeling a little nervous about our choice as we descended into the canyon but what a GREAT choice it was! Next to the river was amazing!

Only downside was we couldn’t have a camp fire. But given the wildfire situation we totally understood and still had an amazing time with s’mores over the camp stove.
